ENCE are through to the playoffs at DreamHack Open Montreal after defeating Red Reserve 16-7 in the Group A winners' match.
The Group A winners' match was played on Mirage, where Aleksi "allu" Jalli and his men drew first blood after winning their T pistol. However, a lopsided anti-eco from ENCE in connector saw Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun pick up a triple to even the score at 1-1,
Red Reserve used that momentum to secure a 5-1 lead, but ENCE took the reins of the game after that and went on a nine-round winning stream with their passive-aggressive approach.
Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen opened up the second half with a huge quad-kill with the USP-S to shut down Red Reserve. ENCE went on to secure the following anti-ecos before Red Reserve finally put an end to that streak (6-13).
Red Reserve managed to get one more round under their belts, but, in the end, the stout defence from the Finns proved to be too much, as ENCE secured the next three rounds to become the first team to seal passage to the tournament playoffs.
